Device42 is a company that helps businesses manage their IT infrastructure and provides detailed information about systems, from mainframes to cloud systems. Recently, they started offering carbon emissions tracking. By providing a comprehensive browser and real-time monitoring of all IT assets - including hardware, software and network components - Device42 claims to be able to help organizations optimize distribution resources along with broader management capabilities into their systems.

Device42 is Freshworks' first acquisition since the company - founded in India but now headquartered in San Mateo - IPO'd in 2021. "With more than 800 customers worldwide, Device42 provides provides enterprise-grade IT asset management capabilities, which we believe can further enhance our Freshservice offering," Mathrubootham told analysts on the call.

"Since 2020, we have cooperated with Device42 when implementing projects with large enterprises. And after the transaction is completed, we look forward to serving customers as an integrated team. We plan to deliver the translation will be completed by the end of the second quarter," he added.

"With this acquisition, we will be able to deliver advanced asset discovery and application dependency mapping capabilities across entire cloud and data center environments," he added.
